- Ever been in this position when you and your team realizes your once conceived as achievable goal is in fact way more intricate & demanding than anticipated?
- Ever been in this situation where your team’s goal completion is heavily dependable on another team’s effectiveness in their own function?
- Ever come to this point when your team’s way of doing things needs to improve radically in an impossible time frame?
Project Impossible is here to gamify the answers to all that questions!
We split bigger groups into smaller 30-36 persons groups and each small one into 3 smaller teams. Each 30 persons team represents a company with 3 business functions allocated to each of the 3 teams: Management, Marketing & Sales (Logistics too if applicable) departments.
Summit’s senior Facilitator announces the company’s overall goal: implement all three (or four) activities in 3 minutes time and explains to each team how to play their activities.
Sounds easy at first, but each team soon realizes that their respective activity, requires at least 20-30 minutes to implement, while logically thinking they ought to take that time down to at least 1 minute. This is the first time they need to adjust to reality and change the way they work, again & again till they attain their team’s goal…
But what about the company’s goal? Does the team need to adjust their time to accommodate any delays from other teams? Is that even possible in the preparation time given?
The game escalates in two sessions:
- Preparation session (90-100 min): each team works on their activity, trying to diminish implementation time
- Implementation session (20 min): each team is timed in turns on their respective activities in front of everybody else.
Intensity, anxiety & festive climate crown this final effort of the teams, proving them all that WORKING AS ONE is the cornerstone of every effective company!
