Vytina is one of the most famous Peloponnese large villages and is the ideal destination for wannabe explorers! Why, I hear you say? Because it is the birthplace of Panagiotis Potagos! Who is this guy, I hear you ask again, and why should I care, anyway? Well, he is one of the most accomplished (but unfortunately the least known) Greek explorers. Despite having no financial support from his homeland, he completed successfully two major missions in Asia and Africa, competing worthily some of the most renowned foreign explorers. His legacy to all of you fellow explorers is two manuscripts. The second one, containing Kolokotronis' memories about the Greek War of Independence, was found just recently while restoring the local library. Alas, the manuscript is written in code and only the most bold and agile explorers will be able to crack it down!

Mycenae comes to us out of the mists of time. The powerful city of Mycenae was the heart of the Mycenaean civilisation that dominated Ancient Greece between 1600BC and 1100BC. Said to have been founded by Perseus himself, Mycenae was the center of many Greek myths and legends. One of them is the mythical beings Cyclopes - the one-eyed giants - brought by Perseus from Asia to construct the large fortified walls. Once you pass the famous Lion Gate, the ancient citadel surrounded by the Cyclopean Walls starts unfolding. Then, it is up to you how deep in the history you will let yourself be immersed!
