Vytina | The last explorer

Vytina is one of the most famous Peloponnese large villages and is the ideal destination for wannabe explorers! Why, I hear you say? Because it is the birthplace of Panagiotis Potagos! Who is this guy, I hear you ask again, and why should I care, anyway? Well, he is one of the most accomplished (but unfortunately the least known) Greek explorers. Despite having no financial support from his homeland, he completed successfully two major missions in Asia and Africa, competing worthily some of the most renowned foreign explorers. His legacy to all of you fellow explorers is two manuscripts. The second one, containing Kolokotronis' memories about the Greek War of Independence, was found just recently while restoring the local library. Alas, the manuscript is written in code and only the most bold and agile explorers will be able to crack it down!

Aegina Turtles Crypt

The legend has it, that the first inhabitants of this island where ants, which Zeus transformed into men just to give his son Aeacus a kingdom! Soon after, Aegina (named after the Aeacus’s mother) became a naval superpower of the era and the "Greek Turtles" minted on the island, were most likely the first coins struck in Europe.
