About the event
“The Race” is a dynamic indoor team-building activity. Participants, as racing team managers for a business group, prepare for a world-class car race by training the driver, coaching the pit team, and building the race car.
This challenge cultivates team spirit, leadership, and strategic planning within the thrilling context of car racing.
Event details
The game is played in teams of 5-10 participants.
Game characteristics:
- The game requires the teams to prioritize, strategize, delegate, communicate, understand the bigger picture and be flexible enough to adjust accordingly.
- The game can be played in a competitive or cooperative styles, depends on the facilitator brief.
- The game is racing cars themed regarding the graphics and content and relates directly to the business world values and skills.
- After the teams are race qualified (in 3 different levels), the event leaves the screen and turn into a real-world huge board game (optional). Decisions made in the game affect the chances of success in this stage.
Game stages:
- Stage 1 – At this stage the participants complete challenges that are presented through an application, getting higher skill grades and earn points/money. More money qualifies to a better race (GT, WRC, F1) at stage 2.
- Stage 2 – At this stage teams divide into 3 printed race boards: GT, WRC, F1 (according to money earned). In each board they must complete 3 laps. The first team to finish wins the race. Each team throws three dices to determine how much they will advance on the board. This stage is connected to the 1st. The higher skill grades acquired form 1st stage allow better chances to advance on the board, as they get more dices to throw. The minimum is 3 dice, and the maximum is 10 dice.
